According to Article 45 of the Constitution, “the President of Pakistan has power to grant pardon, reprieve and respite, and to remit, suspend or commute any sentence passed by any court, tribunal or other authority”.
The holy month of Rabiul Awwal began on September 18, with the Holy Probhet's (PBUH) birth anniversary on the 12th of the Islamic month falling on September 28 this year.
Though citizens across the country have started preparations to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi as tradition, festivities remain marred by sky-rocketing inflation and increased cost of living.
