LAHORE: Courts in Lahore granted bails to 150 people on Tuesday and ordered jail authorities to release them before Eid. The Lahore sessions judge also visited the Camp Jail and released 50 people held for minor crimes. However, with most of the court staff having left for their homes after 11 am those granted bails faced hardship in submitting bail bonds and obtaining release orders. Muhammad Arshad, brother of an under trial prisoner in a theft case, told The Express Tribune that the court granted bail to his brother but when he returned after arranging the surety bonds, the court staff was gone. He said he was unable to get release orders for his brother.
