The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) submitted an application with Race Course police station on Sunday for the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against policemen who launched an “assault” on former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore a day earlier.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief organiser Maryam Nawaz and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah were also nominated in the application submitted by Owais Ahmed, a caretaker of Imran’s Lahore residence, Express News reported.
The names of interim Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Punjab Inspector General of Police (IG) Usman Anwar, Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Siddique Kamyana, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Afzal Kausar, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Suhaib Ashraf and other senior police officials have also been included in the application.
According to sources, the application carried details of items, including 'licensed weapons', seized by police officials during the raid. The complainant also alleged in the application that the police team also took away Rs50,000 from the employees of Imran’s residence.

The plea stated that clothes, 10 pairs of uniforms, staff documents, ATM cards, perfumes, hair dryer machines, 9 sub-machine guns (SMG), and two pistols were also seized by the police.
License numbers of the weapons and details of bullets were also mentioned in the application, the sources added.
Punjab police on Saturday stormed into the PTI chief’s Lahore house, knocking down all barricades and doors to launch a ‘surprise’ search operation inside the property soon after Imran left for Islamabad to appear before a court.
Footage showed cranes breaking through the main gate of the Zaman Park residence as rock-ribbed loyalists held their ground in a protest camp outside and scuffled with officials.
The search warrants shared by police obtained under Section 47 of CrPC read, "investigating officer is directed to accompany a lady police officer not below the rank of inspector at the time of search of a requisite house in accordance with law".
