Manzoor Khan took oath on Friday, a day after 14 other members of the caretaker cabinet were sworn in

The 15th member of the caretaker cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Manzoor Khan took oath as an interim minister at the Governor House in Peshawar on Friday.

KP Governor Ghulam Ali administered the oath and felicitated Manzoor Khan on his new constitutional responsibilities.

Caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan, provincial ministers Shafiullah, Fazl Elahi, Hamid Shah, Commissioner Peshawar division Riaz Khan Mehsud, administrative officers, and social and civil personalities witnessed the oath-taking ceremony.

On Thursday, 14 of the 15-member caretaker K-P cabinet were sworn in at a ceremony held at the Governor’s House as Manzoor Khan, a JUI-F nominee, was abroad.
The PTI rejected the formation of the K-P cabinet over not consulting with the party before proceeding ahead with the move.

According to reports, apart from three or four ministers in the cabinet, all others have been appointed on political grounds. Major political parties and leaders are behind the appointments, except for PTI.

Former provincial finance minister Taimur Jhagra has raised objections over the newly appointed interim cabinet. He shared the notification of the appointments on Twitter, writing: “Sadly, this looks like a PDM [Pakistan Democratic Movement] cabinet, barring a couple of names…”

K-P Governor Haji Ghulam Ali administered the oath to the caretaker provincial ministers on Thursday. Caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan participated in the oath-taking ceremony.

The other 14 cabinet members include Abdul Halim Qasuriya, Syed Masood Shah, Hamid Shah, Advocate Sawal Nazir, Bakht Nawaz, Fazal Elahi, Adnan Jalil, Shafiullah Khan, Haji Ghufran, Khushdil Khan Malik, Taj Muhammad Afridi, Muhammad Ali Shah, Justice (retd) Irshad Qaiser and Shahid Khan Khattak.
