Intermediate part-II results announced

Number of regular candidates was 48,235 whereas there were 9,008 private candidates

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi announced the results of the intermediate part-II annual examinations on Thursday.

The results were announced in a joint briefing in the board's conference room by Chairman Education Board Muhammad Adnan Khan and Controller Examinations Professor Nasir Mahmood Awan. A total of 58,327 candidates had submitted examination forms for the annual inter examination while 57,243 candidates actually appeared in the examination, said Awan, adding that that 23,519 male students and 33,724 female students appeared in the said examination.

The number of regular candidates was 48,235 whereas there were 9,008 private candidates. A total of 37,045 candidates passed the said exams while 20,088 failed. The success rate was reported to be 64.72 per cent. The success rate of female students was 73.46 per cent while that of male students was 52.18 per cent. 956 candidates did not appear in the exam, he added.

The results have been released on the board's official website.
