The Meteorological Department has forecast rain, strong winds and thundershowers in different parts of the country and snowfall on high mountains.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected today in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and upper Punjab.

The weather in the federal capital is expected to remain partly cloudy.Meanwhile, it is expected to rain with strong winds and thunder in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Balakot, Noshera, Kohistan, Malakand, Bunir, Darosh, Mirkhani, Mardan, Haripur, Bajaur, Mohmand, Kurram, Kohat, Khyber, Peshawar, Charsadda and Nowshera districts. Strong winds and hailstorm are also expected at some places in Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Hazara and Malakand valleys.

In Punjab, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiat, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Khoshab and Mianwali might experience some gusty winds and thundershower in the morning hours.
