The commencement of classes at University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila (UET) sub-campus in Pind Dadan Khan has been announced with assurance of full support from Government Al Beruni Degree College.
UET Registrar Khalid Mahmood Qadri, Director Security Rifat Mehmood, Resident Auditor, Khalid Qureshi, while talking to the media on the occasion of their visit to Pind Dadan Khan campus on Monday, said the commencement of classes was delayed due to several issues which have been resolved now.
In this regard, PC-1 has been sent to the Higher Education Commission for construction of the campus. The construction work of the university building is expected to begin soon. However, classes for programmes such as BS Computer, BS Math, and BS Chemistry will resume from the current semester. Moreover, several alternates besides Al Beruni Degree College are also being considered, he added. He emphasised that the commencement of classes in the coming semester would require the full support of the people of tehsil.
Meanwhile, Principal of Al Beruni Degree College Nuzhat Rehman Ranjha and others pledged their full support in resolving all other issues.
