Cracks appear in newly constructed school building

MPA terms Lodhran XEN’s performance unsatisfactory

LODHRAN:

Over Rs2 billion will be spent on 67 schemes under the annual development programme for the development of Lodhran district in the financial year 2022-23.

This amount will be spent for the completion of new and already ongoing development schemes in Lodhran district under the District Development Package.

This was announced during a review meeting of the District Coordination Committee in Lodhran.

Lodhran Deputy Commissioner Rai Muhammad Yasir Bhatti, Member of the National Assembly, Mian Shafaq, and Member of the Provincial Assembly, Pir Amir Iqbal Shah, attended the meeting among others.

Addressing the meeting, the deputy commissioner said that significant improvement should be made in the financial and physical progress of development projects.

He instructed the officers of the construction departments to go to the field and supervise the development projects.

He said that slowness of development projects and neglect or negligence in their quality would not be tolerated.

The Member of the Provincial Assembly, Pir Syed Amir Iqbal Shah, described the performance of the executive engineer of buildings “unsatisfactory” and expressed his dissatisfaction with the construction works.

MPA Pir Amir Iqbal Shah expressed serious concerns over cracks in the newly-constructed building of M38 School No. 1 and directed the executive engineer of buildings to repair the building satisfactorily.
