Three people died while another two were injured in separate traffic accidents reported in the city.
According to details, a tanker driver was killed in a collision between two tankers near Nipa Chowrangi in Gulshan Iqbal. Edhi volunteers removed the body of the driver from the tanker and shifted it to a nearby hospital for medical formalities.
The deceased truck driver was identified as Muhammad Sajjad, 30, who belonged to Ahmadpur Tehsil of Bahawalpur.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was killed and another injured in a collision with a speeding vehicle near Korangi. The deceased and the injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
According to police, the deceased was identified as Waqas, 19, and the injured as Danish, 18. Separately, a man was killed while another was injured in a collision with a speeding vehicle near Karsaz Mazar at Shahrah-e-Faisal.
The body of the deceased was shifted to the JPMC for postmortem while the injured were provided with medical first aid. The deceased was identified as Nauman, 38 and the injured as Nadeem, 45.
