Police say armed robbers looted $30,000, 50 tolas of jewellery

Armed robbers fled with US dollars and gold ornaments worth millions while injuring two women in the incident, police said.

The armed robbers looted 30,000 US dollars and 50 tolas of gold jewellery, they said. Police have registered a case.

Four armed robbers entered the house of PML-N district general secretary Chaudhry Kamran Langriyal and his uncle Chaudhry Arshad Langriyal in Lodhran in broad daylight. Arshad Langriyal lives in America.

The robbers said they wanted to search the house, introducing themselves as government officials.

The complainant said that when the robbers barged into his house, his brother Qaiser Akram and some women were present in the house.

The complainant said that his brother made an attempt to offer resistance, the robbers tortured him and locked everyone up in a room.

He said that later the robbers entered the house of another brother of his.

The women who were there took shelter in a room when the robbers broke the lock. One of the women threw her daughter down from the gallery. Her daughter had her arm fractured.

The bandits continued looting the house for 45 minutes.

On receiving information, DSP Malik Ijaz Maswan and SHO City Mujahid Hussain along with police force and forensic teams reached the spot.

Minister of State for Home Affairs Abdul Rehman Kanjo also visited Kamran Langriyal's house.
