A fire broke out in a shoes warehouse maintained in an apartment building in North Nazimabad, in which shoes worth a fortune were burnt to ashes, but luckily there were no casualties.
As per details, the blaze broke out in the warehouse located on the third floor of the building in Hyderi Market, North Nazimabad, which quickly spread.
The incident was reported to the Fire Brigade which sent in fire tenders to put out the blaze.
In the meanwhile, a police party reached to cordon off the area to help the firefighters douse the fire.
Fire Brigade officials said that the warehouse was maintained in the apartments on the second and third floors of the building in Hyderi Market.
They added that four Fire Brigade vehicles, including two bowsers and one snorkel, took part in the operation to extinguish the inferno.
They contained the fire after an hour-long operation. It was immediately not known what sparked the fire which, according to the warehouse owners, caused them huge financial losses.
