Torghar Deputy Commissioner Anwar Zeib Khan on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the District Education Uplifting Forum at his office to discuss the causes of the low literacy rate, particularly among females in the district.
He said that the purpose of the meeting was to determine the causes of the low literacy rate and how to bring about educational reforms and revolution.
He also appreciated the efforts of all stakeholders, especially in those areas where there are no educational facilities provided by the government.
Khan issued instructions to the departments concerned and said that all the educational institutes where the teachers are working double shifts and not getting paid should be paid as soon as possible.
At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner thanked all the participants.
