Around 70 per cent of the construction work on a Social Security Hospital has been completed so far.

The 50-bed hospital will stand on 57 kanals of land in the city and is expected to be completed by January 2023, said Medical Director Dr Samiullah Khan.

Talking to the media on Saturday, he said that the hospital would be completed within the stipulated period and the government had already approved funds for the procurement of required machinery.

He added that construction work was launched in 2019 and the foundation-laying ceremony was performed by Punjab Minister for Labour and Works Ansar Majeed Haral.
