11 killed in Punjab road crashes

268 RTCs reported in Lahore with 291 victims

At least 11 people died and 949 were injured in 913 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in across Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Of the injured, 553 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 385 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site.

The majority of RTCs involved motorcycles. Further analysis showed that 467 drivers, 18 underage drivers, 104 pedestrians, and 378 passengers were among the victims of RTCs.

The statistics show that 268 RTCs were reported in Lahore with 291 victims, placing the provincial capital on top of the list.

Faisalabad followed behind with 80 RTCs and 82 victims and Multan at third with 67 RTCs and 63 victims.

The details further reveal that 949 victims were affected by RTCs, including 781 males and 168 females, while the age group of the victims shows that 171 were under 18 years of age, 504 were between 18 and 40 years old and the remaining 274 victims were reportedly above 40 years of age.

As per the data shared, 792 motorcycles, 67 rickshaws, 85 cars, 21 vans, 11 buses, 20 trucks and 84 other types of auto vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in the aforementioned RTCs.
