HARIPUR:

The killers of a 65-year-old fruit and vegetable vendor, who was murdered two and a half months ago, could not be arrested.

Muhammad Javed, a resident of Phirhala, was stabbed to death by an unidentified person and his body was recovered from the Bandi Pir Dad within the limits of Saddar Police Station.

Later the police shifted the body to the trauma centre for a post-mortem before it was handed over to the heirs.

Afterwards, the police registered a case and started an investigation. Three days after the death of the victim, his wife also died from the shock of her husband’s death.

The victim's family has applied to the DIG Hazara region to provide justice to the family as police have failed to arrest the killer. As per the people of the area, the accused could not be arrested yet for unknown reasons although, in the past, police remained successful in solving blind murders.

The public circles of Haripur have demanded of the DIG Hazara Division and DPO Haripur Imran Shahid that the heirs of the deceased be updated regarding the progress of the murder case.
