Five booked in triple-murder case

Bereaved families unhappy as police have failed to make any arrest so far

DERA GHAZI KHAN:

A case was registered against two unknown suspects and three named accused in the murder of three people.

According to Case No. 294/22, three victims were killed while appearing in court, identified as Ejaz Hussain, Abdul Ghaffar, Muhammad Jamal Khan, while Muhammad Iqbal was injured.

The case was registered in Sadar police station on the complaint of Zafar Hussain, the brother of the deceased Abdul Ghaffar, under sections 302, 324, 148 and 149 PPC, against the named accused Arshad alias Machhar, Tariq, Rashid and two unknown accused. So far, none of the accused were arrested.

When contacted, SHO Sadar Police Station Rana Muhammad Iqbal said that raids were conducted to arrest the accused, but they fled to the other side of the area.

In-charge ICU Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Abrar Hussain Khosa said that bullets were removed from the injured Mohammad Iqbal and the patient’s condition is stable and further treatment is in progress.

On the other hand, the heirs of the three deceased alleged that police were not putting in the effort to arrest the accused.

They issued an ultimatum, stating that if the accused are not arrested immediately, they will carry out protests.
