Robbers allegedly flee with valuable items including cash and mobile phones

HARIPUR:

Unidentified robbers looted a shopping mall located on Shakar Shah Road, Haripur. The robbers made away with cash, mobile phones and several other valuable items and fled the scene.

According to the police, several other similar incidents have been reported in the area, this past week. A young man’s mobile phone was snatched, a clothes shop looted, cash snatched from a passenger and this recent robbery at Pakistan mall confirms the happenings.

CCTV footage showed that three members of the gang came in with weapons, stole all the money, and then fled. According to police sources, the culprits were apprehended using advanced technology and a night time chase. They were handed over to the police for further investigation. Police claim that their arrests would be declared within 24 hours.

They also claim that they have recovered all the stolen valuables items from their possession. The robbers were chased while trying to escape on a motorbike. During preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in more cases as well.

Meanwhile, two men were injured in a road accident in Khanpur on Tuesday. Police said that 38-year-old Ajmal and 48-year-old Shafiq were injured when a motorcyclist hit them as they were standing on a bus stop. The injured were rushed to take Type D Hospital Khanpur.
