In act of vendetta, a fired worker robbed his former boss at gunpoint in the Bilal Colony area of the city.
However, though he was wearing a mask, hos ex-employer recognized hi voice and named him as a prime suspect. Bilal Colony police arrested the suspect within 24 hours.
Ahmed Ali told the police that he robbed company's cash van to settle score with his immediate boss who had terminated his services.
During interrogation in the remand room, Ahmed told the police that he worked for a distributor who supplied goods in his van.
The distributor had fired him and he had planned with his friend Owais to take revenge, Ahmed said. As per their plan the accused looted Rs300,000 from the distributor of the spice company as he knew the time the distributor goes to the bank.
