Body of woman found days after her death

SHO says woman's body was five to six days old, and she lived in a rented room

KARACHI:

Police retrieved a several days old dead body of a woman from her house in Arafat Town within the limits of Taimooria Police Station.

Residents of the area informed the police about the incident upon noticing the stench.

Police rushed to the spot upon the report and broke down the door of the house to retrieve the rotting body lying in the single room house. Police moved the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem.

Taimooria Police Station SHO Rashid Lodhi said the woman's body was five to six days old, and she lived in a rented room. She was a beggar who lived with her husband, also a beggar. However, the man has not been seen for some days. She appears to be between 35 and 40 years old and could not be immediately identified.
