PTI fields Mahmood Moulvi for NA-245 by-election

'Moulvi has been active in PTI for many years, has helped a lot in catching and preventing major corruption'

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has nominated Mahmood Moulvi as its candidate for the by-election of NA-245 constituency of Karachi.

PTI's provincial president, Ali Zaidi announced this at a press conference. that

He said that Mahmood Moulvi has been active in PTI for many years and has helped a lot in catching and preventing major corruption particularly in port and shipping.

Zaidi added that Mahmood Moulvi will be the PTI candidate for NA-245 by-election and Imran Ismail will be his campaign in-charge.

He said that we have repeatedly pointed towards the discrepancies that took place in the local body election phase one. Now, for the second phase of elections, the police officers of their choice are being transferred and deployed in the districts where polling is going to be held. RO is being changed here fifteen days ago and brought from Khairpur. If the ban on transfer was imposed in Punjab before the election, then why the transfers are being carryied out in Sindh.

He said that PPP has become a party of only some parts of Sindh while MQM is restricted to inner parts of Karachi.

Talking about power load shedding, he said, "We provided 350 MW more power so that the industries of Karachi could run."

Criticizing the current government Ali Zaidi said that Load shedding bomb has been dropped on the people of Karachi. Industry is being destroyed. Fishermen cannot go into the water by boat as diesel has become expensive. Thousands of families will be ruined due to imported government's worst economic policies.

Speaking on the occasion, former Sindh governor, Imran Ismail said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf would sweep victory in NA 245.

He said that the next mayor of Karachi will be from PTI.

While criticizing the current government, he said, "All of them are united only because of differences with Imran Khan, otherwise they all fight."
