KARACHI:

The Southend Club in Phase VI DHA will host the ICC Women World Cup matches between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

This will be the first time that Pakistan will host the ICC Championship matches.

The One Day International (ODI) series matches in the third edition of the ICC Women Cricket Championship will be played on June 1, 3, and 5 at Southend Club.

The training camp for potential players of Pakistan women's cricket team for ODI matches and T20 series of ICC Women Cricket Championship against Sri Lanka is starting from Monday at Hanif Muhammad High-Performance Center, National Stadium Karachi.

Under the Pakistan Cricket Board decision, the camp will be exempted from biosecurity restrictions.

On Sunday, fitness tests of the players were conducted and basic lectures were arranged. The camp, which will last until May 18, will provide specialised training to the 26 invited players in net and fielding sessions, as well as on increasing fitness.

Three matches of 50 overs will be played on May 11, 14, and 17 while two practice matches in T20 format will be played on May 12 and 15.

Players will rest on May 13 and 16. Recreational activities will also be arranged for the players during the camp. On the first day of the camp, there will be a practice session from 9:30am to 12:45pm.
