Four siblings killed in road accident
Four siblings, including three sisters, were killed in an accident on Thursday. Police said that 16-year-old Imran was travelling on a motorcycle with his three sisters when a rashly driven vehicle hit the bike near Chhanga Manga. As a result, Imran, Iqra, 22, Laiba, 13 and Tayba, 11, died while the driver fled the scene. Police reached the spot and started an investigation after registering a case.
Family members dying in road accidents is not a new occurrence in Punjab. An accident occurred in Kharrianwala in August 2021, where a motorbike was hit by a recklessly-driven tractor-trailer. Of the five family members, three were killed and two survived with injuries.
The deceased were identified as Imran, his wife Tanveer Bibi, 33 and his daughter Laiba, 16. His two sons, Ahtesham, 12 and Zubair, 9, survived the incident.

Separately, a man and his three sons were killed when their car caught fire after a collision with a bus in Okara in March 2022.
According to details, the car was part of a wedding procession and was hit by a speeding bus. The deceased were killed when the car burst into flames and were identified as Zulfiqar, 50 and his sons, Abu Hurrairah, 13, Abu Bakr, 11 and Asad, 9.Zulfiqar’s wife and another unidentified child escaped the car unharmed. Seven other people were injured in the accident.
