Police register case against unknown assailants

ISLAMABAD:

Unidentified assailants shot dead a taxi driver named Jahanzeb Khan in the jurisdiction of Golra police station in the federal capital.

The brother of the deceased, Hanook Babar, told the police that his brother lived in Peshawar and used to drive the car in Peshawar and other areas.

On Monday, Babar received a phone call and the man told him that some unidentified men have killed his brother and dumped his body near Sector G13 / 3.

Area residents spotted his body and informed the police.

The body was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for a post-mortem.

Baber said that after receiving information about his brother’s death he along with his other brother, Aurangzeb Khan, reached PIMS Hospital Emergency ward where they found the body of his slain brother.

"My brother left home on Sunday for work and didn’t return. Today, we have found his body. He was brutally tortured before being killed,” he added.

The police have registered a case against unknown assailants.
