The FIA Cybercrime Wing Rawalpindi arrested a man allegedly involved in blackmailing a girl by sharing her ‘objectionable pictures’ on social media.

The FIA arrested the accused from the Saddar area of Rawalpindi and registered a case.

According to officials, Dawood Shah was accused of uploading objectionable photos of a 23-year-old girl on Facebook, sharing them on WhatsApp numbers and blackmailing her.

The team recovered two mobile phones from his possession which were found to be linked to his Facebook ID and WhatsApp number.

The accused will be produced before a court for his physical remand.

Meanwhile, Westridge police arrested a man named Bilal for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl who collects papers and used plastic items to sell. The scavenger’s mother told the police that Bilal took her daughter to a secluded storage room of a shop and raped her.

Police registered a case. A medical examination of the victim has been conducted. SP Potohar Rana Abdul Wahad has stated that a challan supported by strong evidence will be filed, and the suspect will be sentenced by the court.
