F-9 Park to have heightened security

CCTV cameras will be installed to ensure security of visitors

ISLAMABAD:

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will make proper security arrangements at F-9 Park to ensure the safety and security of visitors.

The authority’s spokesman on Wednesday said that they would also install modern CCTV cameras, in addition to hiring services from security companies.

He said that guards will be deployed at all entry and exit points across the park, whereas the installed CCTV cameras will be linked with the Islamabad Safe City for monitoring. Tenders in this regard will be floated in newspapers soon after the estimation of the total cost, he added.

Due to a special interest from the CDA chairman to promote healthy activities in the federal capital, repair and maintenance of parks also underway across the city. Similarly, orders have been issued to re-install broken fences at the park along with proper lighting arrangements.

The spokesman added that the agency was considering installation of the signboards in the park for the convenience of visitors. Sanitation arrangements are also being improved, with the installation of trash bins, alongside the walking tracks to provide a healthy and clean environment to dwellers of the capital, he said.
