KARACHI/HYDERABAD:

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Huqoq-e-Sindh rally finally reached Karachi on Sunday evening after departing from Ghotki on February 26.

PTI Vice Chairman and Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressing a cheering crowd at Quaidabad said, "Karachi is the city from where PTI was launched and this is where the journey of PPP will end."

Qureshi said he was thankful for the hospitality for the people of Karachi. The zealous citizens of Karachi have shown that a silent revolution has come. The elections of 2023 will see 2018 repeated, Qureshi said asserting that more seats will be won from Sindh and PTI will form the next provincial government ridding people of PPP.

"The people of Sindh are disappointed with the PPP's 15-year rule," Qureshi said.

He said the people of Sindh should realize that the PPP was no more the party of the Bhuttos, it has been hijacked by a mafia.

At the end of the meeting, Federal Minister Ali Zaidi, while presenting demands on the Tabdeeli Container, said that he requested the Supreme Court to fix the hearing of the case of dual citizenship of Murad Ali Shah as soon as possible. Immediate action should be taken against the ongoing killings and looting in Sindh and a judicial commission should be formed on the cases.

People seek alternative to PPP

Quershi said Sindh has made it evident that they are fed up of the Pakistan Peoples Party and wanted an alternative leadership.

He was speaking at a press conference in Hyderabad on Sunday, before departing for Karachi for the last leg of Huqooq-e-Sindh march, he asserted that PTI is capable of providing that leadership to the province's people.

He pointed out that his party has already won hearts in Punjab, KPK, Azad Kashmir and GB where the people had grown equally hopeless from their political leadership like their fellow citizens in Sindh. He said the PTI has emerged as the party which helped the people get rid of the ruling elites which failed to serve and plundered the public funds.

"The PTI already made its mark in Karachi in 2018 general elections by winning a large number of seats of the national and provincial assemblies." He thanked the people of Sindh for enthusiastically participating in the march which began from Ghotki district on Punjab's border on February 26.

Qureshi apprised that at the last lag of their march in Karachi, the ports and shipping minsiter Ali Zaidi will read out a charter which will highlight the issues because of which the PTI started the march. The PTI's leader said the government is not worried bout PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari led long march to Islamabad.
