Rumours of Priyanka Chopra Jonas slowing down her career and exiting the self-initiated female-centred Bollywood film, Jee Le Zara, after welcoming motherhood made headlines on Wednesday. However, according to a source close to her, the Sky Is Pink actor is not quitting the film, reported ETimes.
Calling the rumours groundless, the source stated, “The rumours that Priyanka Chopra will opt out of the movie are completely unfounded and untrue. She is still a part of it.”
The road trip themed film starring Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka was announced last year. According to Times of India, it is being said that Priyanka may abandon the project since she’s looking to spend time with her baby.
And as per Bollywood Hungama, Priyanka wants to devote her energy to her first child. The outlet also suggests that producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are already exploring other options to replace Priyanka in case she leaves.
Priyanka and Nick Jonas’ baby girl was reportedly born 12 weeks early. Expecting to embrace motherhood sometime in April, the Narcos star cleared out her work schedule to devote time to her daughter, and hence the early arrival stirred rumours.
Jee Le Zara, helmed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, is expected to hit floors the following year.
