
With city in grip of cold weather, drove of youth and families enjoyed soup , coffee and tea at their favourite dhabas.
The early morning showers convinced most of the people to stay home, due to which attendance in offices remained low. Commercial markets, too, bore a deserted look, while public transport vanished from the roads.
Rickshaws demanded heavy fares and ride sharing service captains were in no mood to pick passengers.
Citizens took to using warm clothes in full swing - rare sight in the city. A large number of citizens have bought jackets, socks, mufflers, earmuffs, gloves and shoes from shops and stalls at different places.

Soup, peanuts, tea stalls saw rush of buyers, while business activities in many parts of the city were soon shut down.
The majority of employees in many federal and private offices and institutions have gone home early. Due to rain and cold in different parts of the country, business activities were also suspended in the shops of daily necessities. However, due to the cold, sales of eggs, poultry and fish increased.
