As the misdeeds of Sindh Revenue Board continue to baffle the law abiding citizens, a petitioner told the top court of the province that some officers of the board have sold out piece of a road as plots.
The Sindh High Court (SHC) has sought a comprehensive reply by December 22 from the Board of Revenue, Karachi commissioner and others on a petition filed against the allotment of plots on 65-feet road in Bhittai Colony.
The petitioner's counsel contended that there is a 65-feet road in Korangi Creek Block-D Bhittai Colony. The unscrupulous elements in the Sindh Revenue Board have carved out eight plots on a stretch of the said road and sold these to people.
The buyers do not know that they have been sold a piece of public thoroughfare, he said. Years will pass by, the government will wake up to check the map and then go on to bulldoze the homes of these people, he said.
