ISLAMABAD:

The Kamyab Pakistan Programme (KPP) would prove to be a milestone in uplifting the lower strata of society, remarked Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin.

Presiding over a meeting of the KPP steering committee on Tuesday, Tarin stressed that all stakeholders should gear up to take part in this “new nation-building activity”.

On the occasion, a detailed presentation was given to the adviser on the progress of KPP.

The meeting was informed that the programme had been launched and loan applications were being received through the short messaging service (SMS) from all over the country.

Loans would be disbursed to the deserving applicants after the fulfillment of requirements. This would lift the living standards of the underprivileged class of society.

Small loans for businesses, farmers and construction of houses have been included in the programme, according to a statement.
