THEKRI WALA:

A 45-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed and several others were injured when a police van accidentally overran him on Nadwala Road on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Tayyab. The brakes of the police van, which was being driven by Hawaldar Tahir, failed near the Nishat Cinema.

This resulted in the van hitting a rickshaw in front of it. The rickshaw in turn knocked off the motorcyclist Tayyab and the police van then overran him.

The rickshaw driver too was said to have received some serious injuries.
