The Anti-Car Lifting Cell police claimed to have arrested the ringleader of a gang involved in snatching valuable cars and smuggling them abroad.
A jammer, weapon, hand grenade and a valuable jeep were also recovered from his possession.
During snap-checking near Kitti Pahari area of Noor Jahan Police Station, the police apprehended accused Hassan Ali Bhoyo and recovered a valuable jeep, which had been snatched from the Gulberg area.
Police said, a TT pistol, hand grenade and jammer were recovered from the possession of the accused.

The accused disclosed that he, along with his other gang members, was involved in snatching or stealing vehicles from Karachi and sold them off in Quetta, Balochistan and other cities.
The suspect has so far confessed to snatching or stealing more than 30 vehicles and selling them. He has also made disclosures about his other accomplices and the police are conducting raids for their arrests.
