Three persons were killed and five others were injured in separate road accidents in the metropolis on Thursday.
A woman and a man were killed while a minor was injured when a speeding dumper truck crashed into a motorcycle, still reeling from its collision with a rickshaw minutes ago, near Singer Chowrangi.
The deceased and the injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The man was identified as Waqar Ahmed and the child as five-year-old Mustafa. The identity of the woman could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.
Awami Colony SHO Inspector Safdar Mashwani said that Ahmed, stated to be in his late 20s, was employed at a factory near Murtaza Chowrangi in the Korangi area and had just left work when he met with the accident.

The driver of the speeding dumper truck managed to flee the site but efforts are underway for his arrest, added the SHO.
Meanwhile, a woman was killed and a man was wounded when a speeding car rammed into a motorcycle near a bus stop in Nazimabad area. The deceased and the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where the former was identified as Alia, 45, and the latter as her husband, Aslam Nisar, 50.
Separately, four persons were wounded when a speeding vehicle collided with two motorcycles near Star Gate, Sharae Faisal. The injured motorcyclists were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where they were identified as Mubashir, 16, Raja, 20, Faizan, 17, and Habib Khan, 47.
