AYUBIA:

A gang of armed men attacked a house and threw acid and chemicals on a woman and her daughter in Kera Raiki village in Union Council Dunga Gali. The victims were shifted to a hospital in a serious condition.

Police said that Muhammad Pervaiz, along with his three sons, wife and six to seven accomplices, broke into the house of his brother, Yasir, around midnight. They tied Yasir’s son with a rope and tried to kidnap his daughter. When the victims screamed for help, the suspects threw acid and chemicals on them, after which they fell unconscious. The neighbours reached Yasir’s house, after which the suspects left waving their weapons in the air and threatening them with death.

The members of the victim’s family appeared before Galiyat DSP, after which he directed the picket in charge to immediately register a case against the suspects.

The family head Yasir, Muhammad Qamraiz, and others have appealed to the police to provide them justice. They said the suspects belong to a criminal group and a robbery case had been registered against them some years ago.
