Woman allegedly gang-raped by 11 men

Cops carry out raids to apprehend suspects nominated in FIR

At least 11 people were allegedly involved in gang-raping a woman.

Police have registered a case against the suspects and are carrying out raids to arrest them.

According to the police report, the rape survivor stated in her complaint that she was on her way to the village from her residence on September 1 when the suspects abducted her and took her to the fields near a pond.

The suspects were identified as Khalid alias Majeed Dogar, Sher son of Darya Khan, Kak son of Ramzan, Shah Wali, Ajmal, Wasim, Bilal Jutt, Ramzan, Kali Jutt, Gul Bran, Imran and others.

Reportedly, two suspects on a motorcycle intercepted the woman and kidnapped her. The victim told the police that Khalid Sher and Shah Wali raped her repeatedly at gunpoint and later called more men to continue to abuse her all night long.

Separately, a 14-year-old labourer working for Basharat Nan Taki in Pahari Chowk Batala Colony was allegedly molested after being lured by Arif.

The young boy screamed for help. On hearing the calls, locals rushed to the spot, nabbed the assailant and handed him over to Batala Colony police.

Police registered a case under Section 377 and are investigating the crime.
