Separately, Saghir Ahmed informed the police that his cousin, wife of Latif, was on her way from home to her uncle's house on Bakarmandi Road when four unidentified persons in a rickshaw abducted her.

Ahmed said, “The suspects took her to Sudhar Bypass, where they tried to molest her and upon resistance attacked her with sticks and kicks, and tore her clothes.”

The complainant said the abductors then raped the woman and handed her over to an unknown couple who continued to torture her.

However, the victim managed to escape later.
