Police on Thursday arrested a man for pushing his wife from the balcony of their fourth-floor apartment in the Mehran Arcade located in the Qasimabad area of Hyderabad.
Ilyas Wagan has confessed to trying to kill his wife, Nazia Wagan, because he suspected that she was having an affair with another man, a police official said.

The 38-year-old mother of four children was rushed to Liaquat University Hospital in critical condition. Qasimabad police station officials said they were waiting for someone to file a report, otherwise, as in case of so-called honour killings, the state will be the plaintiff and the woman’s family will be the respondent.
