Six including women and a youngster were shot and injured in separate firing incidents reported from various areas of the metropolis on Saturday night.
A woman bearing a bullet wound in her neck was shifted to JPMC from Shah Faisal Colony no 5. The injured, identified as Fauzia, 30, succumbed to her injury during the course of treatment. According to the police, Fauzia was allegedly hit by a stray bullet while sleeping on the roof of her house.
Besides, another woman was shot and injured with a stray bullet at a house in Metroville. The injured, identified as Marina Khan, 28, was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH).
In the meantime, a man was shot and injured near Hazara Chowk, Orangi Town no 4. The injured was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH), where he was identified as Anwer Khan, 35.

According to the police, initial investigations revealed that Anwer was shot with a stray bullet. However, further investigations into the matter were underway. Moreover, a 26-year-old man was shot and injured in aerial firing during a wedding ceremony in Metroville, Sindh Industrial and Trading Estate area.
The injured, identified as Waqas, was rushed to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital. The police took notice of the matter and launched investigations into the matter. Meanwhile, a youngster sustained a bullet wound in a firing incident in Agra Taj Colony.
The injured was shifted to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital, where he was identified as Abdul Samad, 17. Separately, a man was shot and injured for resisting a robbery in Korangi Crossing area. The injured, identified as Kaleemullah, 23, was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). The police said that the efforts for tracing the robbers were launched
