Families demand release of Pakistani fishermen in Indian jails
.

Families of Pakistani fishermen held in Indian prisons staged a protest in Ibrahim Hyderi, Ali Akbar Shah Goth, calling for the immediate release of their loved ones. The demonstrators appealed to the government of Pakistan, the Sindh government, the Chief of Army Staff, and the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take urgent action.
A large number of relatives of the imprisoned fishermen participated in the protest, voicing their frustration over the prolonged detention of their family members. They emphasised that the fishermen have endured years of hardship in custody while their families face severe economic and emotional challenges.
The protesters highlighted the personal toll of the detentions, stating that festivals like Eid lose their joy for their children, who are forced to celebrate without their fathers. They urged the authorities to ensure the immediate release of the innocent fishermen and provide relief to affected families. The demonstrators stressed that timely action is critical to alleviate both the suffering of the detainees and the hardship faced by their families, calling on national leadership to intervene.
