Two gangs busted, seven members held

Cash, gold ornaments, mobile phones as well as illegal weapons recovered

ISLAMABAD:

The Aabpara police team has arrested seven members of two criminal gangs and recovered stolen cash, gold ornaments, mobile phones as well as illegal weapons from their possession, a spokesperson said on Monday.

SSP (Operations) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanweer directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb crime in the city, following which City Zone SP Rana Abdul Wahab constituted a special team under the supervision of Sect Circle SDPO DSP Raja Tahir Hussain, including Aabpara SHO Sub-Inspector Saleem Raza along with others apprehended four members of a gang.

The team recovered cash and gold ornaments from their possession.

Another police team arrested three other gang members and recovered cash, mobile phones as well as illegal weapons from their possession. Separate cases were registered against them while further investigation is underway from them.
