Lawyer’s pre-arrest bail extended in IHC attack case

ISLAMABAD:

An anti-terrorism court extended the pre-arrest bail of lawyer Mudassar Rizwan in the Islamabad High Court attack case on Wednesday. Extending the pre-arrest bail on the application, the court adjourned the hearing till March 15.

The petitions of the other accused, Khalid Hussain, Hammad Hussain Dar, Qasim Iqbal, Akhtar Hussain, Nazir Malik, Chaudhry Hafeezullah Yaqoob, Fazlullah, Chaudhry Ayub Wahab and Khalid Taj Awan, will also be heard on March 15.

A day ago, an ATC had approved the bail of a lawyer while extended judicial remands of others booked in the IHC and the District Sessions Court vandalism cases. The court had ordered that all bail pleas filed by the arrested law practitioners should be presented together.
