KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Khurram Sher Zaman has said that the vote of confidence on Saturday (today) would make clear the position of the ruling party and "second-rate" alliances like the Pakistan Democratic Alliance stand in the National Assembly.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, Zaman said the PTI and its allies were on the same page. Zaman expressed regret over what he dubbed the "biased manner" of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

"The ECP is responsible for conducting free and fair elections and it could have used barcodes or serial numbers to identify those who sold their conscience," remarked Zaman.

"Those who deceived the PTI in the Senate election will be held accountable."

He said the opposition in Centre wanted to get an NRO so that all cases and investigations against them could be closed.
