An anti-terrorism court sent on Wednesday an alleged militant of banned outfit Sindh Revolution Army on a physical remand until March 9, in a case pertaining to the possession of ammunition and explosive material.
The court handed over the accused, Sajjad alias Bablu, to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), which had arrested him the previous day.
At the hearing, the investigation officer (IO) informed the court that a grenade was seized from Sajjad.
He further stated that Sajjad had confessed to his involvement in an attack on a Pakistan Rangers mobile in Liaquatabad and retired Rangers personnel in Sachal. Sajjad also admitted to planning more attacks on Rangers checkposts, Chinese engineers and during Independence Day celebrations, the IO said.
Handing over Sajjad to the CTD to until March 9 on a remand, the court sought a progress report from the IO at the next hearing.
