Govt has paved way for industrial revolution: minister

SEZs have been set up in Vehari, Bhalwal, Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur

Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal said that the government has paved way for the industrial revolution by setting up 13 special economic zones (SEZs) and four such facilities are being established by the private sector.

Talking to a delegation of investors at his office on Wednesday, he gave details of various initiatives to promote trade and industry in the province.

“SEZs have been set up in Vehari, Bhalwal, Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur,” the trade minister told the meeting.

He highlighted that Pakistan’s first smart SEZ namely Quaid-e-Azam Business Park was inaugurated in Sheikhupura over an area of 1,536 acres.
