RAWALPINDI:

The incumbent and former officers of the garrison city’s development authority are on the radar of the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE).

Around seven officers of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) are nominated in different cases of errant approval of land for private housing societies.

Meanwhile, RDA’s officers have started mulling a plan to restore the institution’s reputation.

Sources told The Express Tribune that more cases of graft are in pipeline against RDA officials which will emerge in the coming days.

Further, RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood and Director General (DG) Ammara Khan have directed to follow a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. All officials and other employees have been directed to conduct corruption-free transactions.

RDA Planning Deputy Director Tahir Meo, Assistant Director Samiullah Niazi, Deputy Director Muhammad Ijaz, and a building inspector are already named in an FIR.
