LAHORE:

The inauguration of the Firdous Market Underpass has been postponed for the third time as the project could not be completed in time.

According to sources, the Punjab chief minister will inaugurate the underpass instead of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The foundation stone of the project was laid by the chief minister on May 18. According to the plan, the length of the underpass is 900 metres.

Thousands of vehicles will use the facility daily as those travelling to and from the Defence, Cavalry and Gulberg areas will benefit from the underpass. The construction began on June 5 and Chief Minister Buzdar ordered compilation of four-month project in three months.
