Facebook launches Watch Together feature for Messenger, Instagram
Facebook announced on its blog that it will be rolling out the Watch together feature, Chat themes, and Vanish mode to ensure a better and fun user experience on its platforms.

The highly anticipated Watch Together feature is available now; you and your friends can share a trending post or catch up on your favorite TV show. The platform is also introducing two new shows, “Post Malone’s Celebrity World Pong League” and “Here for It with Avani Gregg,” exclusively to Messenger and Instagram through Watch Together.

To avail the 'Watch together' feature simply start a video chat on Instagram or Messenger or create a Messenger Room.
The option will be available on Instagram under the media button, select the ‘TV & Movies’ tab and on Messenger video chat, swipe up to access the menu, select Watch Together then select the ‘TV & Movies’ tab.

The second feature that is being rolled out is chat themes such as tie-dye and love so you can customise your conversations.
The social media giant is adding a special chat theme on Messenger and Instagram with TinyTAN, a group of lovable characters created from the seven members of BTS. Once you update your app you will be able to activate the TinyTAN chat theme on Instagram.

Vanish mode

The Vanish mode feature makes seen messages disappear after you leave a chat thread, the company has designed this feature keeping safety in mind so users can share a message without having to worry about it sticking around.
To turn it on, just swipe up in an existing chat thread – and you’re in vanish mode. Swipe up again and you’re back to your regular chat.
The feature is also optional you choose whether you enter vanish mode with someone and the best part is that you will be notified if someone takes a screenshot of your chat while you’re using vanish mode.
Vanish mode is currently on Messenger in the US and a handful of other countries and will be launching soon in European countries. The feature will be soon rolled out on Instagram as well.
