LAHORE:

Provincial minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Leader Ayaz Sadiq has gravely harmed the national interest by spreading the ‘enemy’s propaganda’. “Those who are doing propaganda on return of Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan have forgotten that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had handed over another Indian Air Force officer to his friend Vajpayee during war in 1999.”

He made these remarks while speaking to the media after inaugurating an exhibition at Alhamrah Art Gallery on Monday.

Chohan claimed that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in 1999 had returned the pilot to India through civil agencies on pretext of Geneva Convention. “The prime objective of former premier Nawaz Sharif was to safeguard his business interests with India,” he alleged.

He said India is promoting a separatist movement in Balochistan and terrorism in the country. “Neither Maryam Safdar Awan, Captain (retd) Safdar Awan nor any other leader of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) have tendered apology over what they did at Mazaar-e-Quaid. Only a sensible person has the courage to apologise over his mistake,” he commented.

He said all PML-N workers had known the hidden agenda of Sharif family and had distanced themselves from its stance.
