The development of industrial zones in the province has been linked to the generation of sufficient electrical power.
This was linked by the Special Assistant to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister for Industry and Commerce Abdul Karim on Friday as he inspected a grid station at the Gadoon Industrial Estate. Karim said that the estate has been revived and inaugurated two previously closed industrial units there.
The provincial government, he said, is taking concrete steps to supply energy to all industrial zones of the province on a priority.
Karim added that the government is also taking all possible steps to create employment opportunities for which industrial zones in the province must be developed on a priority basis with their energy needs addressed.
While inaugurating an officers club in the estate, the special assistant said that all industrial zones of the province have to provide an attractive environment to investors, adding that economic development and employment opportunities will be provided to the youth. The special assistant further urged the relevant authorities to launch a special tree plantation campaign to make the estate clean and green apart from immediately solving problems faced by the estate.
K-PEZDMC Chief Executive Officer Javed Khattak and Provincial Assembly Member Haji Rangiz Khan were also present on the occasion.
