Meeting decided that police patrolling will be increased

PESHAWAR:

To control the rising ratio of crime in the provincial capital, police have decided to launch a search and strike operations. This was decided during a meeting chaired by Peshawar Operations SSP Mansoor Aman on Saturday to review the law and order situation in the provincial capital. The SSP said that to tackle crime effectively, apart from an effective response to reported crime, there must be proactive actions by the police to investigate crimes which take place but are usually not reported. He further directed police officials to carry out targeted operations in the areas where the crime ratio was high. The meeting decided that police patrolling will be increased across the city, information-based search operations, snap-checking will also be conducted in different areas. Aman said that the latest technology will be utilised in investigating crimes. He also directed the police to enhance coordination with residents for better policing.
